5.09 School Attendance

This page includes data from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) on Grade 5 attendance and habitual truancy. The Grade 5 attendance rate is the calculated by aggregating together the actual days of attendance of all Grade 5 public school students in a given school year and dividing that number by the aggregate total possible days of attendance. The habitual truancy rate is the percentage of K–12 public school students who are habitually truant in a given school year. Habitual truancy is defined as being absent from school without an acceptable excuse for all or part of five or more school days.
