3.09 Parental Care

This page includes data from the U.S. Census Bureau on family structure and parents in the labor force. The first indicator is the percentage of families with a single parent caring for their own children under age 18 without a spouse present. The second indicator is the percentage of families with parents caring for their own children under age 18, in which both parents―or the only parent present―are in the labor force.
